Treat yourself to a deeply relaxing weekend.

Life can be stressful and exhausting at times. Why not give your mind and body some much needed care and attention with one of our relaxation weekends? Leave your worries, stresses and strains far behind and come away feeling healthy, rejuvenated and refreshed on every level! Whether you want to enjoy some quiet time on your own, or share the experience with friends, it’s completely up to you. This is your time to relax, re-connect to yourself, recharge your batteries and simply be.

 

Below is the itinerary for a typical weekend relaxation break. Please note that the actual timetable may vary slightly. The relaxation workshops are entirely optional and we will adapt the workshop to make sure it is suitable for all. If you would rather go for a walk or use the other facilities then that’s absolutely fine!

 

Friday

16.30 onwards – Arrive at The Tree and settle in.

18.45 Delicious vegetarian meal served in the Dining room (we have a selection of good value wines available.)

20.30 Welcome talk and introduction in the Chapel studio, followed by a gentle night-time stretch and gong bath relaxation to close the evening.

Saturday

09.00 Breakfast – porridge, cereals, fruits, yoghurt, toast & juices.

10.15 An introduction to the benefits of Relaxation. Techniques to relax the body, including Qi Gong (a practice for balancing the energy in the body and calming the mind) and guided relaxation with our therapeutic Earth Gong – be amazed at how you can relax your body and mind!

13.00 Lunch: Home-made vegetable soup, fresh bread and salads.

14.00 - 18.30 Sauna and Jacuzzi switched on – take some relaxing warmth into your muscles, relax in the hot tub, enjoy our cold tub or maybe take a stroll on the moors.

Enjoy the therapy sessions of your choice: Our Tree Blissful Relaxation massage or Aromatherapy Full body massage. Aromatherapy back massage, Holistic head, neck & shoulder massage, Foot and lower leg massage or our Healing Hearts therapy (our treatments are £32.50 per 30 minute session or £52.50 for 50 minute session).

14.30 Onwards - Afternoon tea is served in The Tree dining room.

19.00 Delicious vegetarian evening meal (selection of good wines available).

20.30 Yoga Nidra. A deep guided relaxation practice.

Sunday

09.00 Breakfast – porridge, cereals, fruits, yoghurt, toast & juices.

10.00 An Introduction to Mindfulness meditation, with a few ideas for staying present and relaxed when you go home! A gentle Hatha yoga session and closing with a guided relaxation with our therapeutic earth gong. We will adapt the workshop to make sure it is suitable for all. 

13.00 Sunday Dinner. Our famous Tree Vegetarian Sunday Roast!

14.00 Depart for home, truly relaxed and energised!

Further Details

The cost per person for our Relaxation weekends throughout the year is £395 per person in the Tree/ £380 in The Old Chapel. This price is based on 2 people sharing a twin room. If you do want to have a room by yourself then there is a supplement of £100, though if you are happy to share with another one of our guests (of same sex) then there is no extra charge.

Extend your stay for extra nights on B&B basis at £60 each. B&B is ordinarily £70 per person per night. Full payment is taken on booking and is non refundable and non transferable.

Optional treatments on Saturday afternoon are £32.50 for 30 minutes or £52.50 for a 50 minute session, and are booked on Friday afternoon when you arrive. We do our very best to provide 1 treatment per guest.

 

Please advise of any special dietary requirements 1 month prior to your weekend. Please advise us if your special request is a medical condition, a dietary choice or simply a dislike. We cannot guarantee that our kitchen or food is free from traces of any allergens.

 

Smoking is not allowed including vapour cigarettes in any area of the building. Candles, incense etc are not permitted to be lit in any bedroom or bathroom and in the house /chapel will be only used by the staff or teachers.

You can get a mobile phone signal up the road or you are welcome to use our house phone, or our WIFI for wifi calling. We would be grateful if guests only used technology such as computers/phones/ ipads etc in their own rooms and not in any communal area. If sharing with a stranger please make sure they are happy for you to use technology in the bedroom. We do not have any televisons or a television licence. 

 

All towels are supplied. Dressing gowns are available to hire at £5 or you are welcome to bring your own dressing gown. A swimming costume and flip flops are a good idea for when using the sauna / hot tub.

 

Don’t forget your wellies or walking boots if you fancy going out for a hike over the moors! Please remove your outdoor shoes when entering either building (you might wish to bring some indoor shoes/slippers/flip flops with you)

 

Final bills and payments for treatments, drinks or any items purchased in our shop are made in the dining room after lunch on Sunday.
