Life can be stressful and exhausting at times. Why not give your mind and body some much needed care and attention with one of our relaxation weekends? Leave your worries, stresses and strains far behind and come away feeling healthy, rejuvenated and refreshed on every level! Whether you want to enjoy some quiet time on your own, or share the experience with friends, it’s completely up to you. This is your time to relax, re-connect to yourself, recharge your batteries and simply be.


Below is the itinerary for a typical weekend relaxation break. Please note that the actual timetable may vary slightly. The relaxation workshops are entirely optional. So if you would rather go for a walk or use the other facilities then that’s absolutely fine!



16.30 onwards – Arrive at The Tree and settle in.

18.45 Delicious full vegetarian meal (selection of good value wines available.)

20.30 Welcome talk in the dining room followed by Introduction to the benefits of Relaxation in the Chapel Studio and an ice breaker.


08.45 Breakfast – cereals, fruits, yoghurt, scrambled eggs and toast.


Techniques to relax the body, including Qi Gong (practice for balancing the energy in the body and calming the mind) and guided relaxation usually with the therapeutic Earth Gong – be amazed at how you can relax your body and mind!

12.45 Lunch: Home-made vegetable soup, freshly-made bread, a range of salads with cheese and biscuits.

14.00 Sauna and Jacuzzi switched on – take some relaxing warmth into the muscles before your treatment.

14.00 – 18.00 Enjoy the therapy sessions of your choice: Swedish or aromatherapy back massage, Indian head massage, foot pamper, reflexology, hot stone massage (£59) and a good range of beauty treatments. Most treatments are charged extra at £22.50 per 30 minute session. There is usually enough time for each person to have an hour’s worth of treatments. Additional treatments maybe available if time permits. Enjoy each other’s company whilst waiting for your therapy; take a sauna, relax in the Jacuzzi, or stroll on the moors.

15.00 Afternoon tea is served in the dining room.

19.15 Three course vegetarian evening meal served in the Dining Room (selection of good wines available).

20.45 Yoga Nidra. A deep guided relaxation practice


08.45 Breakfast – cereals, fruits, yoghurt, boiled eggs and toast.

10.00 An introduction to mindfulness meditation, gentle hatha yoga, mindfulness and guided relaxation. We will adapt the workshop to make sure it is suitable for all. Also a few ideas for staying present and relaxed when you go home!

13.00 Sunday Dinner. Our famous Tree Vegetarian Sunday Roast!

14.30  Depart for home, truly relaxed and energised!

The cost per person for our Relaxation weekends throughout the year is £285 per person in The Tree/£265 in the Old Chapel. This price is based on 2 people sharing a twin room. Accommodation will be either in The Tree or in the newly refurbished "Old Chapel" accommodation next door to the main house. If you do want to have a room by yourself then there is a supplement of £100, though if you are happy to share with another one of our guests (of same sex) then there is no extra charge. Extend your stay for extra nights on B&B basis at £40 each. B&B is ordinarily £50 per person per night. Full payment is taken on booking and is non refundable and non transferable.

Optional treatments on Saturday afternoon are (mostly) £22.50 for a half hour treatment, £45 for a full hour, and are booked on Friday afternoon when you arrive. We guarantee a minimum of 1 treatment per guest, but this can often be more depending on time available.


Please advise of any special dietary requirements 1 month prior to your weekend. Please advise us if your special request is a medical condition , a dietary choice or simply a dislike. We cannot guarantee that our kitchen or food is free from traces of any allergens.


Smoking is not allowed  - including vapour cigarettes - in any area of the building .  Candles, incense etc are not permitted to be lit in any bedroom or bathroom and in the house /chapel will be only used by the staff or teachers.

Mobile phones do not currently work in Rosedale. There is a payphone in the entrance hall of The Tree and you are welcome to use our WIFI. We would be grateful if guests only used technology such as computers/phones/ ipads etc in their own rooms and not in any communal area. If sharing with a stranger please make sure they are happy for you to use technology in the bedroom. We do not have any televisons or a television licence. 


All towels are supplied. Dressing gowns are available to hire at £5. However if you want to bring your own dressing gown that would be fine. A swimming costume and flip flops are a good idea for when using the sauna / hot tub.


Don’t forget your wellies or walking boots if you fancy going out for a hike over the moors!


Final bills for treatments and wine are placed in the dining room after lunch on Sunday.
